QyzPU hosted the «IQ-alaman» contest

  ALMATY. APRIL 21. PRESS CENTER – Today at the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University, the Department of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics of the Institute of Physics, Mathematics, and Computing organized the republican intellectual competition «IQ-alaman - 2022».

  Teams of students from the universities of Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Kyzylorda, Taldykorgan, Zhetysay, and Pavlodar took part in the event, which was organized to popularize science and improve the scientific competitiveness of educated and talented youth.

  The jury consisted of Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation of Kazakh National Women Pedagogical University, Zhumakulov Zakir Daniyarovich, Director of the Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Computing, PhD, Professor Gulnaz Salgaraeva, Deputy Director of the «Institute of Information and Computing Technology», PhD Mamyrbaev Orken, Director of Educational Center «QSTEM» Dosbolov Nurbolat, Director of "Pedagogical STEM - Park" of Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abay.

  Participants competed in 4 stages of the «IQ-alaman» contest.

  During the «Magic square» stage the participants answered logical questions, and during the «Who's faster?» stage the students performed tasks for the Arduino UNO3 circuit board. During the «Detective» phase, the contestants were solving encrypted texts, and during the «Smart-Technology» phase, each team's specially designed exhibition was competing.

  At the end of the competition, the jury evaluated the speed of thinking, speed of decision-making, and knowledge of modern technology of students. By the decision of the judges, the winners were decided.

  According to the results of the competition, the team leaders were awarded letters of thanks, and the members of the teams were given letters of appreciation.

  Nominations and prizewinners:

  1. The team «Tripl A» from Zhetysu University is named after I.Zhansugurov won in the category «The best SMART project», the supervisor - teacher, Master of Science Serikova Samal.

  2. The team «Zhana Kazakhstan» from Gumilev Eurasian National University won in the category «The fastest team», with the supervisor - Zhanar Akhayeva, senior teacher, master of science.

  3. The team «Able ladies» from the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University won in the category «Innovative team», the supervisor - master of science, teacher Alimbaeva Zhadyra.

  4. The team of Syrdarya University, Turkestan region, the team «Best IT» became the best in the nomination «Programmer-innovator», supervisor - master of science, senior lecturer Lesbaev Erzhan.

  III place was taken by «SIRIUS» team from Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abay, supervisor - teacher Nauryzbaev Darmanbek.

  II place - the team «Roboymak» from Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University under the direction of the master of science, senior tutor Zhanna Asanova.

  І place was taken by the team «Brainius» of Pavlodar University named after S. Toraigyrov under the guidance of senior teacher Zhaksylykov Aset.
