![Lectures on international rules for writing research papers were held]()
ALMATY. APRIL 14. PRESS CENTER – The series of events organized by QyzPU within the framework of «The Week of Science» continues. Today there was a guest lecture on «General information about essays» and a workshop on «Writing an APA-style research paper: citations and references».
Today, special rules for writing essays have been approved internationally. Every student applying for studies abroad must know all the information according to these rules. Yedilbay Ospan, Candidate of Philological Sciences, a graduate of the «Bolashak» program, gave an online lecture on «General Information about Essays».
The discussion session provided an opportunity to get students' questions answered in their written papers.
In addition, Aidana Shapambaeva (University of Warwick, UK), the head of the Linguistics Center, conducted a scientific workshop for undergraduate and graduate students on «Writing in APA Style: Citations and References». Among the participants were the faculty and doctoral studies students of the university. Participants were able to get answers to such questions as:
- What is APA style?
- What is this style used for?
- How do design references and bibliography in APA style text in scientific articles?
- How to use APA converters online?
The offline lecture was an informative presentation that provided students with all the information they needed as they approached their final paper.
