ALMATY. JANUARY 19. PRESS CENTER – Biofuel is the beginning of the future. QyzPU students have developed effective ways to obtain biofuels from vegetable oils.

Nazerke Khalel and Munisa Saidiganieva's research project «The importance of biofuel production from sunflower oil» was first presented at the international conference of young scientists and students «Farabi alemi».

According to the authors of the research project, biofuels are very useful and important, and have little harm to the environment.

With the possibility of depletion of natural resources and energy resources, humanity is trying to save them and invent alternative energy sources. In recent years, biofuel production has been growing rapidly in a number of developed countries. Because biofuels are a source of renewable energy, an effective way to solve environmental problems. And cheap and affordable. Over time, developing societies prefer to use fuels that are beneficial to both humans and the environment, rather than oil and coal products. That's why we decided to implement this research project, said the students.

It should be noted that the number of countries producing environmentally friendly fuels is growing every year, and the volume of fuel production has been increasing recently. Biofuels are usually obtained from various plants. For example, Brazil, the largest producer of this fuel, gets it from sugar cane, while the United States produces it from corn. Of course, Kazakhstan's enthusiasm for the production of this type of fuel is no less than in European countries. Kazakhstan prioritizes the production of bioethanol as an export-oriented product. Earlier it was known that the country produces bioethanol from wheat.

Today, young scientists are studying in the specialty "Chemistry". This is their first scientific achievement. The students plan to further develop the new project in the university-based laboratory and participate in future start-up projects, said the advisors of the young scientists.
