ALMATY. December 22. Press center – The international rating agency QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) has published a list of the best universities in Europe and Central Asia this year. In this ranking, the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University is included in the TOP-400 best Universities. This figure is higher than in previous years. Congratulations to all the staff of the University on this achievement!
The University rose to 400th place in the QS University Rankings: Emerging Europe & Central Asia 2022 in terms of the proportion of foreign faculty, the ratio of faculty to students, international scientific contacts, and reputation among employers.
Out of 450 universities, 34 are Kazakhstani universities. 6 of them are included in this ranking for the first time.
Compared to last year, the result increased from 27% to 34%. In particular, 10 universities showed better results than last year, while 10 more universities retained their former position.
Kazakhstani universities have been participating in this ranking since 2014.
The ranking of universities was compiled according to the ratio of the number of students and teaching staff of higher education institutions, the share of teachers with academic degrees, the share of foreign teachers and students, academic reputation, reputation with employers, the number of publications per teacher, the number of citations in scientific articles, Internet visibility and international cooperation rated on author's publications.
