      The competition «Digital Ustaz Almaty»

      ALMATY. December 7. Press center – The Chair of the Managing Board – Rector of the University Gulmira Qanay together with a group of active students of the university took part in the awarding ceremony of the winners of the competition «Digital Ustaz Almaty».

      Obviously, this has a special effect on future teachers. The competition is aimed at popularizing the digitalization of the educational process in Almaty schools and identifying the best digital teachers in the city.

      According to the organizers, a total of 2,647 teachers were registered for the first stage. The task of the first stage - the creation of a multimedia article - was implemented by 243 participants, of which 105 teachers passed to the next stage.

      Following the results of competition the teacher of history, the head of department of humanities of the Galaxy International School Sagyngali Kaliyev became the winner of competition. Now he is going to London to gain experience in one of the English educational institutions.

      The second place was shared by Erlan Nugman and Nurbek Serikuly from the lyceum "Bilim-Innovatsiya", the third place was taken by Erlan Kerimbay.

      Akim of Almaty Bakytzhan Sagintayev took part in the awarding ceremony of the winners of the first competition aimed at popularization of digitalization at school.

      It's worth noting that a three-year program to develop the human resources of Almaty Schools educators was launched in Almaty this year. As part of the program, there was a competition of professional skills in the field of digital competencies Digital Ustaz Almaty.

      Bakytzhan Sagintayev expressed confidence that the competition will become a platform for the best pedagogical methods and a stimulus for further professional growth of teachers.

      It's worth noting that the contest dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence was organized by Almaty Mayor's Office, Nursultan Nazarbayev Education Foundation, EdCrunch Academy and the Institute of Modern Education with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan.
