Rector of the University met with the winners of the Paralympic Games

  ALMATY. December 3. Press center – The Chair of the Managing Board – Rector of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University Gulmira Qanay met with the winners of the Paralympic Games.

  The meeting was attended by the champion of the European Championship in para-taekwondo, master of sports of Kazakhstan Kamilya Dosmalova, winner of the Paralympic Spartakiad of Kazakhstan, para-taekwondo fighter Nurbek Zhumakan and honored coach of Kazakhstan, a pupil of the famous athlete Mustaf Ozturk, taekwondo fighter Sultanmakhmut Shokbytov.

  During the meeting, young athletes told about themselves, their  achievements in sports and plans for the future.

  In turn, the rector of the university noted that the Paralympians are a symbol of perseverance, tireless energy and strong spirit.

  – Not everyone manages to be the best among many athletes, to participate in the Paralympic Games and become a winner. You have proven that this success can be achieved through persistence and professional training. All our compatriots are proud of you, – said Gulmira Qanay.

  The head of the university also spoke about the sports potential of the University.

  – The glory of our university is often reflected not only in education and science, but also in sports competitions at various levels. Today the university teams in basketball, volleyball, mini-football are among the best in many international and republican tournaments. And also university students are winners in sports such as weightlifting, tennis, swimming and wrestling. The university base fully allows girls to engage in several sports. In particular, the university has sports complexes, a swimming pool «Aqqu» and gyms equipped with modern equipment, – said the rector of the University.
