      Youth forum against corruption have passed

      ALMATY. December 2. Press center – The fight against corruption is one of the main activities of our University. Eliminating corruption and maintaining academic integrity at the university is moving in a new direction. In this case, the student community also contributes.

      This problem was  discussed at the youth forum dedicated to the International Day against Corruption.

      At a meeting on the topic «No corruption!» there were representatives of the University's Compliance service, professors, veterans of teachers, members of the «Ulagat» organization of the «Nur Otan» party, and university students.

      – The fight against corruption is one of the most pressing issues for any country. Its transnational character is recognized in all countries, and economic, legal, and other measures are being taken against it. Since gaining independence, the Republic of Kazakhstan has developed a tough state policy in relation to these grave crimes, – said one of the organizers of the forum, candidate of sciences Akmaral Kozhabekova.

      The forum provided important information on how to teach students about honesty and obstacles to the development of a corrupt society.

      They also received answers to questions such as: «What is academic integrity?», «How important is it at school and university?», «Why maintain high standards of academic integrity?»

      Academic integrity is a set of values ​​and principles that reflect a student's integrity in writing, answering exams, researching, expressing views, interacting with academics, teachers, and other students, and evaluating work. This principle also provides for the fight against corruption, the experts noted.

      At the end of the forum, which contained important information, the participants shared their thoughts on the topic.
