      University student defends the honor of the country in world competitions

      ALMATY. November 30. Press center – University student defends the honor of the country in world competitions! Laura Kabulbekova, a first-year student of the university, plays for the women's national team of Kazakhstan at the Asian Beach Volleyball Championship in Phuket, Thailand.

      Laura has been involved in this sport for several years. Thanks to her skills and tactics, she has won prizes in many world and national competitions.

      Today, in addition to studying at the University, the athlete is a member of the National Olympic Committee and a player of the national team of Kazakhstan in beach volleyball. Laura is coached by Saule Nurpeisova at the University, a senior lecturer at the Department of Physical Culture and Sports.

      – Beach volleyball, like other sports, requires agility, speed and skillful tactics. Laura has all the qualities that a true master athlete needs. I saw it during training. We have high hopes for the future of the girl, – says Saule Nurpeisova.

      It is worth noting that athletes from more than 10 countries took part in the Asian Championship, which took place on 23 November.

      Our compatriots met with teams from Japan, Australia, Qatar, Singapore and Thailand.

      In general, Kazakhstan was represented by 3 men's and 2 women's volleyball teams.
