      Republican subject Olympiad will be held

      ALMATY. November 18. Press center – In honor of the 30th anniversary of Independence of the country on December 10, the University will hold a subject Olympiad among schoolchildren.

      The educational competition, organized by the Department of History, aims to develop the intellectual potential of students and their cognitive and creative abilities.

      The Olympics consists of two stages.

      In the first round, participants will write a scientific essay on «30 years of independence – through the eyes of youth».  The essay is evaluated on such criteria as the ability to open the topic, to think through ways to solve the problem, to defend the position, to comply with lexical and grammatical rules.

      The length of the essay should not exceed 2-3 pages.

      In the second round, students will answer the questions of the quiz «Historical figures», «Battles for Azattyk» and take tests on the history of Kazakhstan.

      The winners of the competition are the participants with the highest number of points at both stages.
