ALMATY. November 17. Press center – Today is International Students Day. This period will never be forgotten, it will be remembered with special memories for everyone. Congratulations to the students of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University on a significant date!
Let's briefly describe how and when this date became known as Student's Day.
According to reports, International Students Day was celebrated in 1946 in the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague. On November 17, 1939, the World Student Congress was dedicated to the memory of Czech patriotic students killed by the Nazi German invaders, on November 17, it was approved as «International Students Day» in honor of Czech patriotic students.
Student's Day was first celebrated on November 17, 1941, in London.
