      Nurtazina Rafika – founder of national pedagogy, reformer-teacher, Hero of Socialist Labor, Honored teacher of the republic, Honorary citizen of the city of Almaty. 

      She was born in March 1921 in the Pavlodar region. 

      In 1951, she graduated with honors from the philological faculty of the Kazakh State Women's Pedagogical Institute. 

       

      Rafika Nurtazina was born on March 8, 1921 in Pavlodar region. In 1949 she entered the Kazakh State Women's Pedagogical Institute at the Faculty of Philology and graduated from an educational institution with honors in 1951. 

      From 1951 to 1971 she worked as a teacher of Russian language and literature, head and director of the Kazakh secondary school No. 12 in Almaty. 

      After the school was reorganized as a multidisciplinary gymnasium No. 12. This educational institution is the first Kazakh intellectual school in the republic. In 1971-1985 this school was headed by Rafika Bekenovna. 

      Since 1972, the educational institution was the first to begin in-depth teaching of the English language in the republic's schools. In 1984, she was recognized as the best school in the country, was awarded the Diploma of the Supreme Soviet of the Kazakh SSR, and in 1985 she entered the top three best schools in the Soviet Union. 

      In 1994, the school was named after the first Kazakh-educated scientist Shokan Valikhanov for the 70th anniversary of the school. In 1996, the school was awarded a certificate of "secondary special school with teaching English".

      Rafika Nurtazina, combined with the activities of a teacher, continued to engage in science.

      In 1973 - 1978 Rafika Bekenovna was elected as a chair of the Presidium of the Republican Council of the Pedagogical Association of Kazakhstan, participated in the development of a program for teaching Russian language and literature in Kazakh schools.

      She is a candidate for pedagogical sciences. Author of over 300 scientific and educational works, including 15 books and textbooks for secondary schools. 

      During her years at school, Rafika Nurtazina also developed new didactic and intellectual games that will be of great help in learning language material. Independent observations and analysis, as well as the accumulated experience, materials from three previous books, published articles, a collection of reports were published under the title "Entertaining grammar" (Almaty, "School", 1973). 

      From 1989 to 1991 scientist -the teacher conducted a "radio lesson for Tanya and Bolat" on behalf of the State Committee on Television and Radio. The daily morning and evening radio lessons attracted a large audience because they were devoted to real communication and testing their knowledge and skills on the radio. Due to the popularity of this teaching method in the country, for the first time in Kazakhstan, the book "Let's Speak Kazakh" was published, consisting of 101 lessons with 12 cassettes.

      Rafika Nurtazina is the leader of the public education system in Kazakhstan, an outstanding scientist, innovator, educator, and public figure. 

      For almost half a century of hard work, she brought up several generations of students and won the respect of students and colleagues. 

      She was awarded "Honored Teacher of the Kazakh SSR", "Hero of Socialist Labor", "Honorary Citizen of the city of Almaty." Also, she was awarded the Order of Lenin, the Hammer and Sickle gold medal, twice the Order of the Badge of Honor, certificates of honor from the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Kazakh SSR, the Ministry of Education and Science of the USSR, and certificates of honor from the Ministry of Education of the Kazakh SSR.

      Rafika Nurtazina became the "Best Teacher". She devoted about 60 years of her life to her beloved work. Her students are over ten thousand. 

      Today her students work in different parts of Kazakhstan.
