      – This year, for the first time, the Unified National Test will be held electronically – That is, the test will be organized according to the principle of «one test taker – one computer – one camera».

      – To participate in the competition for the award of educational grants for pedagogical specialties increased the threshold score of the UNT to 75. Previously, the threshold score for admission to teacher education programs was 50. In 2021, the UNT threshold score was raised to 75 in order to admit the strongest graduates to this specialty.

      – The rules for admission to graduate programs have been changed. Now admission to doctoral programs is in electronic format. Last year this approach proved to be effective for graduate admissions.

      – The rules for awarding academic degrees have changed in Kazakhstan. Corrections have been made to the normative legal acts concerning the work of dissertation councils. Minister of Education and Science Askhat Aimagambetov told what changes were made to the procedure for the defense of doctoral dissertations.

      – The head of state is supporting the Research Institute of Biological Security Problems and scientists who developed the domestic vaccine QazVaс (QazCovid-in). Minister of Education and Science Askhat Aimagambetov reported this at a briefing at the Central Communications Service.

      – The press service of the Women's University became the best again! Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University became the best in terms of media and social media, and took second place in the rating of Kazakhstani universities.
