    • “Make Friends with Nature!” Competition Held in Honor of World Tourism Day

      On September 27, 2025, in celebration of World Tourism Day, the Institute of Natural Sciences and the Department of Geography of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University organized a competition in tourism techniques and strategy under the theme “Make Friends with Nature!”

      The event took place in the scenic Medeu Gorge near Almaty, where students had the opportunity to demonstrate their outdoor skills and knowledge. Seven teams participated in the competition, composed of students from the “Geography,” “Chemistry,” and “Biology” academic programs. Participants competed in tasks related to tourism techniques and tactical challenges.

      The main goal of the event was to foster a love for nature and a healthy lifestyle, while also developing teamwork and strengthening friendships among students.

      In addition to the competition itself, the participants enjoyed music, dancing, and a shared outdoor meal, creating a joyful and communal atmosphere.

      Competition Results:

      • Grand Prix – "Alem" team (Geography program, Tourism specialty)
      • 1st Place – "Alchemists" team (Chemistry program)
      • 2nd Place – "Jas Stars" team (Geography program)
      • 3rd Place – "Citobum" team (Biology program)

      The teams “101 Roses,” “Orbit,”* and *“Kitik”* received Letters of Appreciation for their active participation.

      The organizers expressed their gratitude to the faculty and students for their enthusiastic support of the event.

      This competition served as a meaningful step toward promoting a culture of tourism, encouraging healthy living, and fostering environmental awareness among the youth.
