    • Current Issues in Primary Education Discussed at International Conference in Almaty

      On April 25, 2025, Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University hosted the International Scientific and Practical Conference titled “Modern Primary Education: Challenges of Globalization and Digital Transformation.”

      The academic forum brought together faculty members from higher education institutions, researchers, representatives of colleges and schools, PhD and Master's students, and undergraduates from various regions of Kazakhstan and abroad.

      A scholar from I. Arabaev Kyrgyz State University emphasized the importance of the event and the practical value of the shared insights:

      “Kazakh and Kyrgyz peoples are brotherly nations. We came to this conference to exchange experiences in primary education and learn from each other. Children are our future. Primary school students are the foundation of personality. If we teach them well from an early age, we will raise an educated generation. We have gained a lot of valuable knowledge from the Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University. Scholars from Estonia and other countries also participated. This university, with its 80-year history, has produced many professionals, and we wish it continued prosperity,” said Dinara Myrzadairova, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, and Head of the Master's Department at the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology.

      Key conference topics included:

      • Prospects for continuous teacher education: from professional standards to individual development trajectories;
      • Quality assessment and monitoring of educational outcomes in modern primary schools;
      • Innovative teaching and upbringing technologies for young learners in the digital environment;
      • Inclusive education and psycho-pedagogical support for students.

      The event was organized by the Department of Pedagogy and Methods of Primary Education at the QyzPU Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology. It was held in a hybrid format—both offline and online—ensuring broad participation from international experts.

      “We addressed pressing issues and prospects for the development of primary education in the context of globalization, exchanged experiences with foreign colleagues, and explored the integration of digital technologies into the educational process. Scholars from Turkey, Hungary, Tatarstan, and Kyrgyzstan joined us online,” reported PhD Saltanat Nurbekova, Senior Lecturer and Leader of the Primary Education Program at the university.

      Among the keynote speakers:

      • Bakytbek Tultukov, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and Professor at I. Arabaev Kyrgyz State University, presented on "The Experience of Using Digital Educational Platforms in Primary Schools."
      • Professor Mustafa Yıldız of Gazi University’s Faculty of Education (Turkey) spoke on "Monitoring and Assessing Language Skills in Primary School: Contemporary Global Challenges."
      • Dr. Nóra Veronika Németh from the University of Debrecen (Hungary), representing the Department of Child Education and Faculty of Special Education, shared practical strategies for preparing primary school teachers and addressed modern approaches and emerging difficulties.
