On April 11, Bishkek hosted an international scientific and practical conference "The Epic of Manas and the State Language in the Digital Age", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Kyrgyz State University named after Ishenaly Arabaev.

The large-scale event was held with the assistance of the Manas National Academy, the Kyrgyz State University named after I. Arabaev, the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University and the Andijan State Pedagogical Institute (Uzbekistan). The conference was attended by scientists, young teachers, master's students, doctoral students and students from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Uzbekistan.

The scientific forum was held in a hybrid format - both online and offline - in the Kyrgyz, Kazakh and Uzbek languages. The main goal was to develop the ability of young researchers to comprehend the linguistic challenges of the digital age, as well as to strengthen international and intercultural cooperation.

Opening the conference, the director of the Institute of State Language and Culture of KSU named after I. Arabaev, professor Samat Zhumaliyev noted the significance of the meeting:

"Today's conference is devoted to pressing issues of modern linguistics, in particular, the teaching of the native language, its role and future in the context of digitalization. We strive to involve young scientists in the process of solving these problems and reveal their scientific potential," said Samat Zhumaliyev.

As part of the event, more than 80 scientific reports were presented. Particular attention was paid to seven studies devoted specifically to the functioning and development of the state language in the era of digital technologies. The participants discussed the democratization of languages, the influence of the media and the Internet on language, the decline in the culture of oral speech, as well as the phenomenon of linguistic aggression. At the same time, the need to preserve and develop the native language as a national treasure passed down from generation to generation was especially emphasized. The conference topics also covered the relationship between language and literature, the historical context of language, and the cultural and pedagogical aspects of language policy.

Professor of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences Zharkynbike Nuaykyzy gave an invited lecture on "Current issues of teaching Kazakh as a foreign language."

"The development of the Kazakh language as a state language, as well as its promotion at the international level, is one of the key challenges of our time. In my speech, I proposed new methods and programs adapted to the needs of language learners. A country that respects its language has a bright future. And today's forum is important not only for the fate of the language, but also for strengthening interstate cooperation," she noted.

QyzPU lecturers and scientists actively participated in the conference, presenting their scientific developments and ideas. The university consistently promotes initiatives aimed at preserving the language and culture in the context of digitalization, and plans to continue working in this direction in the future.

Participation in the conference became another confirmation of the scientific authority and active position of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University in the field of education and international cooperation.
