А. Aimagambetov: Universities must fulfill their responsibilities in science

  NUR-SULTAN. February 3. Press center – Higher education institutions must properly perform their duties in the field of science. This was stated by Minister of Education and Science Askhat Aimagambetov at a plenary session of the Ministry.

  «As you know, the President pays special attention to the development of science. It provides significant assistance to science, both in terms of funding and other issues. Therefore, we need to master this area, organize it and work on the principle of openness. Higher education institutions should also be actively involved in this work. I also told the rectors during the meeting that each faculty has deputy deans for science. The department also reports on science. There are also vice-rectors for science. But after all this, there must be a result. We have opened commercialization offices. But where is the content? Special attention should be paid to these issues, and universities should actively carry out this work», – Askhat Aimagambetov said at a plenary session of the Ministry of Education and Science.

  According to the Minister, there are problems in the field of digitization of science.

  «Bureaucratic barriers need to be removed. There are many different bureaucratic obstacles in the management system. You know it. We deleted and removed some. But it is still there. We need to create conditions for our science colleagues to do only their own work. Of course, all the paperwork and reporting is a big obstacle. Of course, we should solve all of them this year», – he said.

  The Minister also stressed that the Science Committee should pay special attention to the issues of training and development of laboratories.
