The study of the centuries-old historical heritage of the Kazakh people is an important factor in the formation of national identity. In this regard, the conference "Uly Dala Tarihy" was held at the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University.
The event was organized within the framework of the initiative of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev "Revival of National Historical Consciousness", put forward at the National Kurultai, and was dedicated to the restoration of the true image of Kazakh history.
The conference was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University Omarkhan Oksikbayev, Chairman of the Board - Rector Gulmira Qanay, as well as historians, archaeologists, ethnographers, orientalists, political scientists, representatives of government agencies, faculty and students of higher educational institutions. Scientists shared new data on the stages of the creation of the Kazakh Khanate, the tribes and people who lived in the territory of the Great Steppe, as well as the contribution of Genghis Khan and his descendants to world civilization. They comprehensively discussed the path of development of the Turkic civilization and the historical heritage of the Kazakh people. In addition, during the conference, issues of new research in the field of history and preservation of national heritage were touched upon, and its importance for modern Kazakhstan was emphasized.
As part of the conference, a presentation of the book "Uly Dala Aqiqaty" took place. Outstanding scientists of the country especially emphasized the importance of this work and cut the red ribbon. "This book covers the most important stages of Kazakh history - from ancient times to the present day. Every Kazakh should deeply know his history. Scientists from the Department of History of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University also took part in the creation of this work. As the President of the Union of Scientists of Kazakhstan, I express my gratitude to the university,” said state and public figure, Doctor of Economics, Academician Orazaly Sabden.
One of the authors of the book, orientalist Orazbay Zaripbay, spoke about the goals of writing the work and emphasized its importance in the formation of the historical consciousness of the Kazakh people.
“I translated new data from the Persian and Chagatai languages and wrote this book to convey the history of our country to young people.There was a need for a deeper study of the history of our Turkic ancestors. During the study, we found out that the history of the Turkic peoples goes back 5 thousand years. This expands the scale of Kazakh history and helps strengthen national consciousness,” said scientist Orazbay Zaripbay.
Rector of QyzPU Gulmira Qanay emphasized that this conference will give impetus to the revival of national history, and presented a number of scientists with badges on behalf of the university.
The conference, organized by "Uly Dala Tarihy" Scientific Research Center of the Institute of Social and Humanitarian Sciences and Arts of QyzPU, made a significant contribution to the study of the historical heritage of the Kazakh people and a deep understanding of the path of formation of the Turkic civilization. The questions and new data presented at the meeting emphasized the importance of forming a national historical consciousness, and also demonstrated the relevance of preserving the continuity of generations and cultural heritage.
