      Colleges are given academic independence

      NUR-SULTAN. February 3. Press center – Kazakhstan colleges are given academic independence. Minister of Education and Science Askhat Aimagambetov has made it public at a Government sitting today.

      «Colleges are given academic independence. This measure will allow to change the content of educational programs, reduce the duration of training, improve the quality of education, ensure rapid access to the labor market», – said Askhat Aimagambetov.

      According to him, the regional support project will be launched in the higher education system this year. 15 regional universities will be selected based on specific criteria.

      «We will allocate targeted funds for the development of these universities, open new laboratories and educational programs and improve the quality of education», – the Minister said.
