As part of a working visit to Estonia, the Chairman of the Board - Rector of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University, Gulmira Qanay, held a meeting with the Tallinn University management with the participation of the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Estonia, Altay Kulginov.
At the meeting with the Rector of Tallinn University, Tynu Viik, and the Dean of the School of Pedagogical Sciences, Teja Oun, the participants discussed issues of training teaching staff, including the development of educational programs, the development of joint research projects and the prospects for long-term mutually beneficial partnerships and the exchange of students and teachers.
One of the key outcomes of the negotiations was the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University and Tallinn University, marking a new stage in practical work and the implementation of joint initiatives.
The document also marked the beginning of a project to establish a Center of Academic Excellence for the development of preschool and primary education. The center will operate on the basis of QYZPU and can become an important platform for attracting teachers from all over the Central Asian region.
It is important to note that Estonia occupies top places in the international PISA ranking (Estonia took first place in the 2022 testing results), which emphasizes the effectiveness of its education system. The kindergarten system is an integral part of Estonian education (there are very few private kindergartens), and upon completion of the education, children are given a school readiness card, which they take with them to the next stage of education.
The agreements reached during the meeting confirm the high level of trust and the desire of both parties to strengthen the educational partnership and friendly ties between Kazakhstan and Estonia.
