Republican contest "IQ Аламан 2024" on Artificial Intelligence

      In honor of the 80th anniversary of the Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University, and as part of the Decade of Science, the Institute of Physics, Mathematics, and Digital Technologies held the Republican contest 'IQ ALAMAN 2024' on April 24. This contest focused on artificial intelligence and involved students from educational programs in the fields of 'Informatics' and 'Information Technology'.

      The purpose of the competition is to identify and support talented and gifted students, to reveal their creative abilities; to contribute to the formation of the intellectual potential of students; to involve students and young scientists in solving modern scientific problems; to develop interest in scientific activity. In this regard,  Kazakh National women's techer training university was awarded cash prizes of 150,000 tenge for the team that took 1st place, 100,000 tenge for the team that took 2nd place and 50,000 tenge each to two teams that took 3rd place. The student teams of the universities of Aktobe, Taraz, Shymkent,Taldykorgan and Almaty took part in the competition. In particular:

      • Team "No defeat" of the International Taraz innovative institute named after SH. Murtaza, Taraz, head Abdigappar Kydyrbek;
      • Team «Black clover» of South Kazakhstan Pedagogical University named after Uzbekali Zhanibekov, Shymkent, head of Kaldarova Bolganai;
      • Team «Zhetysu» of Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov, Taldykorgan, head Tukenova Natalia;
      • Team «ARSH» of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Almaty, head of Shormakova Asem;
      • Team «CreaTeam» of Almaty Technological University, Almaty, head Turusbek Zhanibek;
      • Team «Intellect» of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University, Almaty, head Chingezhinova Zhumakyz;
      • Team «Tech Ladies» of the Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University, head of Kaldybayeva Aizhan, is out of competition.

                                                                                 

      The jury to assess the knowledge of the teams and determine the winners of the competition included:

      • Dosbolov Nurbolat Muratovich - Director of the educational center of "QSTEM" LLP;
      • Balazhanova Kymbat Magitaevna - acting Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University;
      • Kartbayev Timur Saatdinovich - digital officer of the Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University;
      • Salgaraeva Gulnaz Ibragimovna -Director of the Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Digital Technologies.

                                                     

      The contest consisted of four stages: "IQ Quiz", "IQ Coding", "AI Design", "AI Project". During the competition, all teams showed their knowledge and abilities. The teams proposed and defended solutions to social problems (AI bots, VR applications, robots, etc.) using artificial intelligence.

                                                                                 

      According to the results of the competition, the 1st place was taken by the team «Black clover» of South Kazakhstan Pedagogical University named after U.Zhanibekov, the 2nd place was taken by the team «ARSH» of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the 3rd place was taken by the team "Intellect" of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University, the 3rd place was taken by the team «CreaTeam» of Almaty Technological University. The jury, which monitored the fair conduct of the competition, noted that the students came with excellent preparation.
