The educational competition is over

  Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University systematically implements many projects and activities to increase the intellectual potential of schoolchildren in the country. One of the proofs of this is the educational contest «Great daughters of the Great Steppe».

  The traditional educational competition, organized with the support of the Institute of History and Foreign Languages, was held this year as well.

  Pupils from schools in Turkestan, Kyzylorda, Almaty oblasts and Shymkent and Almaty took part in the Olympiad within the Spiritual Revival program.

  8 teams, which passed the selection of the competition in several stages, demonstrated their knowledge in the final and performed tasks in 5 rounds. In particular, the students identified their strengths in the rounds of "Introduction", "Historical Chronology", "Heroic Daughters of the Great Steppe", "Historical Terminology" and "Reflection".

  At the first stage, each team introduced its university and members and defended the name of the team.

  In the second round, "Historical Chronology", each team must correctly reveal the meaning of historical dates hidden behind the cells. These figures are associated with the life and socio-political activities of the great daughters of the Great Steppe. Teams score points based on the correct answer.

  In the third round, participants were asked questions on a special video on "Heroic Girls of the Great Steppe."

  According to the terms of the fourth round "Historical Terminology", each team must define historical terms on the basis of 3 levels. Level 1 is called the "bronze gate", level 2 is called the "silver gate" and level 3 is called the "golden gate". Only the team with the full answer will open three gates and will be evaluated in full. The question of the third gate is asked in English, and the teams answer the questions in English.

  The last stage is called "Reflection". In this round, essay questions about the greatest girls in the history of the country will be distributed to each team leader by lot. According to the contract, the contestant must write an essay of at least 100 words in 10 minutes.

  - Educated young people from all over the country, gathered on one channel, were able to answer questions and formulate their ideas in the performance of tasks. He clearly showed the level of knowledge gained in history. The jury gave its recommendations and opinions on the answers of each group, - said a member of the jury, Candidate of Historical Sciences Erdaulet Berlibayev.

  According to the results of the Olympiad, the first place was taken by the group "Kaisar Kyzdar" consisting of students of Almaty regional boarding school №15. The second place was taken by the group "Tumar" of school-lyceum №37 in Syrdarya district of Kyzylorda region and the gymnasium №90 in Shymkent, the third place was shared by the teams "Hansulu" of secondary school-gymnasium named after Abai in Kaskelen, Almaty region and "Kaganat" of gymnasium №15 in Almaty.

  Winners and prize-winners were awarded with letters of thanks and diplomas.
