      Students of KyzPU won the national championship

      5 students of the Higher School of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University won prizes in the individual team championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in weightlifting among girls and youth.

      In particular, Yulia Potasova (55 kg), Aruzhan Murat (59 kg), Guldana Elubay (81 kg) and Alina Kozinets (59 kg) took the first, second and third places, respectively.

      Yulia Potasova took the first place, Aruzhan Murat took the second place, Alina Kozinets, Guldana Elubay and Angelina Polyanina took the third place.

      The girls, who did not compete in the clean and jerk, are currently studying at the university, majoring in «Physical Education». According to Saduakas Chingizbayev, a senior lecturer at the Department of Physical Culture and Sports, the girls are currently preparing for the upcoming World Sports Championship in Shymkent.

      It's worth noting that the competition, initiated by the Weightlifting Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was organized in an online format. It was attended by 15 teams from all regions of the country and a total of 569 weightlifters, who tested their skills.
