      Wendy Finlayson, an English teacher at the Arizona Department of Education, conducted a training seminar for teachers of the Institute of History and Foreign Languages ​​of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University.

      The event, implemented within the framework of the international project «Development of Pedagogical Education», was supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the US Embassy in our country.

      The course program is aimed at the use of innovative teaching methods, interactive forms of teaching. This, in turn, will allow teachers in the future to use these technologies in their lectures and seminars.

      For 7 weeks the American specialist conducted theoretical and practical classes for teachers of the Department of Foreign Language Teaching Methods and Practical Foreign Languages. Course participants also learned how to create effective online prototypes of their lessons with a variety of online tools and teaching methods.

      At the end of the online seminar, KyzPU teachers learned in detail about the successful implementation of individual and paired projects for the creation of Google Site and Google Classroom and strategies for its immediate use and not only this. The event presented a wide range of activities, from preparation for lessons to working with various software.

      - The new directions of foreign language teaching methods proposed by Wendy Finlayson during the course were very useful for us. I especially liked that he taught me how to use different forms of Google. During the lessons I will use questionnaires, interactive whiteboards, Pear-Deck presentations and other methods of teaching in an interactive environment, - said Farida Myrzakhmetova, a teacher at the Department of Foreign Language Teaching Methods and Practical Foreign Languages.

      At the end of the course, participants were awarded special certificates.
