Lecture by professor from Tokyo «Towards a new eurasian community»

  On March 29, professor Chung Joon Kon, representative of the Japanese fund «Eurasia Foundation (from Asia)», visited Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University with a guest lecture on «Towards a New Eurasian Community».

                                                                              

  Organization of regular lectures of foreign and resident professors became a warm tradition in the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines of the Institute of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts, which are held within the  «Eurasian community: global education and leadership» course financed by the Japanese fund «Eurasia Foundation (from Asia)» . Professor Chung Jun Koon held another lecture for students of university about the opportunities of perception of the idea of forming a new community in a situation, when relations between countries are getting worse in the modern community. In his lecture, professor Chung Joon Kon explained the impossibility of changing the past, but efforts on changing the future, building new community through education and culture are needed. Also two barriers or «walls» as «wall of individual (ego)» and «institutional walls» must be overcomed for the formation of such a society. At the lecture, the professor changed to live dialogue and discussion of different vital questions with students, periodically noting the necessity in organic development of common educational and cultural Eurasian space, which will support and deepen the relations between nations. To the question of a student on vision of the future community, professor Chung Joon Kon responded: «Yes, the world has changed, and we have to adapt towards changes in different spheres. The main thing for us is the forming of real professionals with high level qualification, so education is the process of acquiring fundamental knowledge, one of the important forms of spiritual culture of society, and its development is the most important factor of renewing all main spheres of human life, society, and whole world.».

                                                                             

  After the lecture, meeting was held between professor and university administration, during which Vice-Rector in academic affairs Zhumankulova Yerkin Nursagatovna thanked the representative of fund for trust and support for realization of this course, which plays significant role in development of academic partnership between our countries, and also expressed readiness of university towards further productive partnership, in his turn, professor Chung Joon Kon expressed gratitude from fund to university administration for organization of lecture course and support in its realization. It is supposed that students, who completed education in courses of Japanese fund, after a decade will take main positions in their countries. By that the development of human resources through education is the crucial investment in raising the new generation.
