      «Ustaz dauysy» project was launched in Kazakhstan

      ALMATY. September 03. PRESS CENTER A project on expert mentoring for young teachers Ustaz dauysy (Voice of teachers) has been launched in Kazakhstan

      On September 3, 2022, On the basis of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University NJSC, a "digital betashar" was held - a presentation of a professional mentoring project for young teachers. The event was attended by student leaders of the university and students with the best academic performance.

      The Ustaz Dauysy project is part of the Basic Direction of Kazakh national women's teacher training university for the formation and promotion of the personnel reserve of women top managers in the field of education. The aim is professionalizing the education system through the transfer of knowledge from broad-profile professionals to beginning career teachers.

      Industry experts will transfer knowledge, share professional and life experience and accompany in the implementation of initiatives in the following areas: ICT, STEM, coaching, creative economics, finance, innovation, EdTech, entrepreneurship and others.

      Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Social Work Zhanar Rysbekova said: "We have more than 8000 talented girls from all over Kazakhstan. For many of them this is the only social elevator they can count on. This mostly applies to students from the inner areas and remote regions of the country, who make up 92% of the total number of our students. It is important for us not just to teach them pedagogy, but also to give them a ticket to life."

      The mentoring marathon Ustaz dauysy (Voice of teachers) was hosted by Elmira Obry, head of BCPD Ltd, TechWomen, expert in the field of EdTech, change manager and executive coach and business tracker.

      "Any industry should have a professional voice. This becomes especially important when it comes to teachers who form a system of meanings and values for generations to come every day. This way the name of the project was born. That is why in the program we rely on role models of mentors who are invited solely by the recommendation. In addition to the professional characteristics and personal qualities of candidates, the reputation factor and cross-recommendations from several industry experts are taken into account. The idea of mentoring is very close to me, so I am sure that many professionals will take up this idea with enthusiasm and a high degree of responsibility," the project ambassador noted.

      Among the first to pass the torch are: Nurbekova Galiya Bagdatovna, Director of the International Association Professional Coach Union in Kazakhstan; Rauan Kenzhehanuly, Director of Bilim Media Group LLP, EdTech professional; Aziza Shuzheeva, Member of the National Commission for Women and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Kanat Kozhakhmet, Director of the Secondary School of Digital Technologies Skillset.

      In addition to mentors, mentis (mentors' wards) are also selected, who, according to the conditions of Ustaz dauysy (Voice of teachers), provide several motivational essays at the entrance and fill out a questionnaire, on the basis of which the most optimal combination of interaction between the mentor and the student is selected, taking into account career guidance, industry specifics and personal preferences of participants. It is planned that the duration of the program will last from 3 to 6 months. Each mentor can take no more than 3 candidates under supervision.

      As a result of the mentorship, the program participants should present an individual project aimed at providing a positive effect for the development of education in the regions and for the whole society in the format of open lectures, research, contact hours with school students, as well as a transitional mentoring format at the discretion of the candidate himself.
