    • Topic: Self-reflection as a tool for developing the psychological culture of parents in the prevention of domestic violence.

Relevance: Today, domestic violence has evolved from a private family issue into a complex social problem. To prevent it, it is essential to develop parents' "self-reflection"—a conscious approach to the upbringing process—and to enhance their psychological culture.

Goal: To identify parents' self-reflection and increase their psychological culture for the prevention of domestic violence; to develop a modern parenting program and verify its effectiveness through practical experimentation.

Research Methodology: As part of the study, an original questionnaire titled "Emotional State of Spouses and Violence Relationships in the Family" was developed and tested. Diagnostics of family relations were conducted across all regions of Kazakhstan using this questionnaire, and international psychological methodologies (PARI, etc.) were adapted into the Kazakh language.

      Key Results and Scientific Output:

      • Development of the educational and methodological manual "Scientific and Methodological Foundations for Developing Self-Reflection and Psychological Culture" and the workbook "New Step, New Method, New Approach."
      • Creation of the correctional program "Dynamics of Personality Characteristics of Women in Crisis Situations," aimed at uncovering parents' psychological literacy.
      • Development of the "Technology of Working with Modern Parents" program, including round tables and forums for specialists.
      • Organization of seminars and workshops for parents and adolescents, covering 1,500 participants.
      • Inauguration of a Psychological Counseling Office at the University for families in crisis. One-time consultations were provided to approximately 100 parents.

The project results are aimed at increasing adult competence in family upbringing, introducing new technologies for violence prevention, and strengthening psychological literacy in society.

"Self-reflection" is not merely a parent's admission of their mistakes, but the strength and culture required to correct them. The ultimate goal of the project is to increase the number of conscious and happy Kazakhstani families free from violence.
