The Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University has demonstrated significant progress in the QS World University Rankings: Asia 2027, securing a place in the 791–800 band. The University has climbed more than 280 places in one year, joining the ranks of Asia's top 800 universities. In the previous edition, it was ranked 1,079th. Its overall score increased from 14.7 to 23.1, while the proportion of Asian universities ranked below QyzPU rose from 1.4% to 53.7%.
The most notable improvement was recorded in academic mobility. The number of students participating in international exchange programmes increased from 88 to 259, moving the University up 112 places in this indicator. The number of international academic staff reached 116, while the number of international students grew to 338. The number of incoming exchange students also increased significantly, from 4 to 68.
In the Faculty Student Ratio indicator, the University advanced 68 places, moving from 418th to 350th position. The number of academic staff holding research degrees increased from 287 to 676, accounting for 69.4% of the total academic staff. The University's Academic Reputation score rose from 13.2 to 17.1, while its Employer Reputation score increased from 17.1 to 25.4.
Research performance also showed positive growth. Over the past five years, the number of the University's publications indexed in the Scopus database increased from 307 to 381, while citations grew from 1,003 to 1,573 – a 57% increase. Particularly strong growth in citations was recorded in Natural Sciences (74%), Engineering and Technology (64%), and Life Sciences and Medicine (62%).
These achievements reflect the University's consistent efforts to enhance the quality of education, strengthen its research capacity and expand international cooperation.
