AI Sana (from the English "Artificial Intelligence" and the Kazakh "Sana" meaning "mind" or "thinking") is a unique acceleration program designed to comprehensively develop knowledge and skills in artificial intelligence among undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students. This program integrates educational, research, and practice-oriented approaches aimed at:
  1. Developing deep theoretical knowledge and practical skills in AI.
  2. Training highly qualified specialists capable of implementing modern AI solutions in key economic sectors.
  3. Creating a sustainable and innovative ecosystem that stimulates the generation of DeepTech startups based at universities and research institutes.

AI Sana serves as a catalyst for the transformation of the educational process, moving from traditional teaching methods to research-based and innovative models. The program fosters the development of the startup nation, supports technological entrepreneurship, strengthens human capital, and facilitates the implementation of innovative solutions. All this together forms the basis for creating a knowledge-intensive economy of the future, based on knowledge and advanced technologies.

Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University (QyzPU) is an active participant and successful implementer of the national AI Sana project. As part of this program, all undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students have completed Huawei ICT Academy courses, as well as educational programs from Yandex and Coursera, all delivered through QyzPU. Today, the university has integrated artificial intelligence-related courses into all educational programs, and actively utilizes AI agents to support the learning process and improve the quality of education.

The initial phase of the project provides basic artificial intelligence skills to all students. By October 1, 2025, all 11,547 QyzPU students completed their AI programs, representing a 100% enrollment rate. This includes:

  1. 2036 first-year students completed the "Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence" course (6 credits), integrated into the university's curricula.
  2. 9511 senior students (2nd-4th years) successfully completed certified online AI courses recommended by the Ministry of Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
