In honor of the National Dombra Day, the Women's Leadership and Entrepreneurship Center of the Personal Development Department organized an insightful meeting titled "Dombra – Voice of the Nation," aimed at supporting students' personal development and promoting national values.
Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has previously highlighted the significance of this holiday in uplifting the national spirit of the younger generation and embodying the identity of the Kazakh people, noting that the sacred instrument is a unique brand that should represent the country globally.
The guest of honor at the event held within the framework of this special day was Akbasov Sayat Kyrgyzbaiuly, an Excellent Worker in the Field of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an Honored Worker, a laureate of international and national competitions, and the Director of the Kaskelen College of Culture.
During the meeting, the role of the dombra in preserving national identity, current trends in the development of Kazakh culture, and the importance of creative pursuit and professional growth were comprehensively discussed. Sharing his years of experience in the cultural sector, the speaker stated:
"Overcoming challenges on the creative path requires continuous exploration and hard work. Achieving goals comes only through diligence. Furthermore, national art plays a special role in nurturing the younger generation and developing their leadership qualities."
Students asked their questions and engaged in an open discussion with the master of arts. Meaningful opinions were expressed, and practical advice was offered regarding the development of dombra art, the promotion of national cultural heritage, and the support of youth creative potential.
This event is aimed at achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals within the framework of SDG 4, which focuses on improving the quality of education, and SDG 11, which supports the protection and promotion of global cultural heritage.
