The Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University hosted a debate tournament titled "Shame or Law?" as part of the "Law and Order" campaign. The event was organized by the Compliance Office and the Personality Development Department.
The objective of the event was to cultivate a legal culture among the youth, discuss the relationship between the concepts of "shame/social stigma" and "the law" in society, and develop students' skills in critical thinking, argumentation, and debating.
Active students from several higher education institutions in Almaty participated in the tournament:
- Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University;
- Kanysh Satbayev Kazakh National Research Technical University;
- International Transport and Humanitarian University;
- NARXOZ University;
- S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University;
- Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University.
During the debate, participants exchanged reasoned opinions on important social issues, the role of civil responsibility, and the maintenance of legal order.
The following experts were invited to the event:
- Nurlan Dauletkululy Tleshaliyev – Head of the Anti-Corruption Prevention Department of the Agency for Civil Service Affairs of the RK in Almaty;
- Aidana Akzatkyzy Nurmagambetova – Chief Specialist of the Anti-Corruption Prevention Department of the same Agency;
- Aybek Berikboluly – Head of the "Zhetysu-2" Community Center.
